Waco : Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum

ALL THINGS RANGER

The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum is far more than simply an honorary hall and a museum. A lot more. In fact, you could say that if there were anything you ever wanted to know about the Texas Rangers, past or present, this would be the place to find it. The facilities include exhibits, educational programs, artifacts, artworks, and the Armstrong Research Center in addition to the hall and museum. The Armstrong Research Center houses an extensive archive of Ranger material, including criminal case files, photographs, correspondence and other documents. The Center’s resources are utilized not only by historians but also by law enforcement agents working on cold case files. This venerated Texas institution also maintains a lively online presence with information available via the web. Visit the website and check out the oral histories by past Texas Rangers or learn all about the surprising number of fake Texas Ranger badges sold and traded and how to tell the fake ones from the real ones. By tracking today’s Ranger community alongside preserving Ranger history, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum really has brought the past and present together under one roof.
