31st Annual Wendish Fest

The 31st Annual Wendish Fest - a day to celebrate the history and heritage of the Wendish immigrants that settled Serbin, Texas in the mid-1800s. A full day of activities for all ages, demonstrations, contests, children's activities, good food, and music provided by the Moravians Polka Band! Demonstrations include Wendish Easter egg decorating, blacksmithing, noodle-making, sauerkraut-making, quilting, weaving, and more! Children's activities include face painting, stick horse races, a coloring contest, Kletternpfosten (greased pole climbing), and train rides. Tour the historic St. Paul Lutheran Church at Serbin while you are here. Enjoy a delicious meal of sausage, sauerkraut, homemade Wendish noodles, and all the trimmings. Bid on the winners of the Coffeecake Bake-off - proceeds benefit the Texas Wendish Heritage Scholarship Fund!
